All our Residential Services are for male youth between twelve and eighteen years of age upon admission.
Below you’ll find a brief overview of our in-house residential services with some specifics about admission or participation.

We are funded to provide eight beds on a contractual basis with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. (M.C.Y.S.).
Placements are court ordered as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada and in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act of Ontario.
We are funded to provide two beds on a contractual basis with M.C.Y.S. within our residential facility.
Referral are recommended/endorsed by the Coordinated Access to Regional Services Committee of S.D. & G.
Placements are arranged between parent and Laurencrest utilizing a “Special Needs Agreement”process and in keeping with the Child and Family Services Act of Ontario.
We have three beds available on a per diem basis for referrals from regional Children’s Aid Societies and other local service providers.
Placements are arranged between the referring agency and Laurencrest utlizing a “Service Agreement” process and in keeping with the Child and Family Service Act of Ontario.
On-Site School Program
In partnership with the Upper Canada District School Board we provide Ontario school curriculum academic courses to students in our designated “Section 23” specialized classroom.
The School Board provides a qualified special education teacher to instruct in credit courses from grades seven to twelve and Laurencrest provides an educational/clinical manager to implement the school program with the assistance of direct care staff.
Placements are for students from Laurencest Residential Programs and/or referred by regional school boards under exceptional circumstances. All students are male youth between 12 and 18 years of age. .
