Description of program: | The Attendance Centre, under the guidance of the coordinator and the support of in-house specialists, provides co-ed, one-on-one cognitive-based programming, aimed at addressing targeted risk areas for youth. Client Success Plans are developed with the assistance of the client. Active participation of the youth and their caregivers is strongly encouraged and supported throughout the process. |
Program duration: | 1-6 months |
What to expect: | Risk areas are identified by the referring source, and act as a stepping point for the development of the CSP. All programming is individualized, in collaboration with the school, the youth, and their families. |
Discharge process: | Discharge review is completed with the youth and their caregivers. A summary report is forwarded to the referring source. When applicable, a program evaluation will be provided to the client. |
Referral process: | Probation/Crown Attorney, Youth Justice Committee, Police, Youth mental health services |
